About Wilhelmina
Born in The Netherlands and relocated to the UK in 2002, I bring a distinctive Dutch sensibility to my twin passions: interior design and cooking. My love for fabrics is a cherished inheritance from my mother, who instilled in me an appreciation for textiles, creativity, and culinary arts. After completing senior school, I pursued studies in Textile Arts and English in the Netherlands, never imagining my journey would eventually lead me to the United Kingdom.
Upon settling in the UK, my first priority was creating a warm home for my family. With limited finances, I developed a resourceful approach to homemaking, up cycling found items, hunting for treasures at recycling centres, and teaching myself to craft soft furnishings. What began as necessity for my own home soon attracted clients seeking my creative touch.
Over the years, these humble beginnings blossomed into a thriving interior design business. I've created countless soft furnishings, collaborated with property developers, and partnered with fellow interior designers across the industry.
My professional focus has evolved from primarily soft furnishings to comprehensive interior design. My signature approach blends old and new elements, honouring the principle that your home should reflect YOU not me. Our homes mirror our life stages, and I understand that transitions, like children leaving home often spark the desire to redefine living spaces. Whether reimagining your current residence for a new chapter or creating a fresh start elsewhere, I help clients navigate these transformations.
My Dutch heritage shines through in my practical approach to decluttering and creating literal space for new beginnings. I believe in the power of thoughtfully releasing the old to welcome the new, a philosophy that defines both my design practice and personal ethos.

Client Success Story: Read My Client's Feedback
I consider myself very fortunate to have found Wilma. She really took the time to understand our lifestyle and preferences, and this meant she met the brief perfectly. She also has a book of fantastic tradespeople, so we were always totally at ease with the work that needed doing, and felt in safe hands. She made herself available to take deliveries at short notice and provided a calm and reassuring presence in managing the transformation. We are so delighted with our new rooms, we honestly couldn’t have asked for more.
